About Ardeer Promrun

The primary focus of Ardeer Promrun is about bringing people together, doing something positive in and around Ardeer.

For 13 months, Ardeer Promrun has brought people together through regular, accessible runs along the coast. Weekly Promruns, quarterly events, local partnerships and community donations are helping build something owned by Ardeer.

We are growing our volunteer team, welcoming young people, supporting Ardeer’s Food Community Larder and working with partners including The Beach Hub and Ardeer Community Centre. Our next step is a community-led organisation with more training, shared responsibility and opportunities for local

people.

A Community-Led Future

Constitued Group

In 2027, we aim to establish a constituted community group, create a working party and build a wider rota of trained volunteers.

Young People & Skills

Promrun can help young people gain confidence and experience in leadership, first aid, and community engagement.

Strengthening Ardeer

We want to strengthen links with schools, sports clubs, local businesses and community organisations for joint funding.

We meet every Friday morning outside Ardeer Community Centre at 06:15 for an interval training session open to all abilities. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced runner, everyone is welcome.

Supporting Ardeer Promrun

Ardeer Promrun is built on community spirit. While we strive to keep our sessions inclusive and low-cost, even free events have running costs. We cover insurance, timing systems, hosting, and equipment through our paid events like the Three Towns Loco 10K and Santa Dash.

Donations directly help us maintain this supportive environment for everyone who walks, jogs, or runs. There is no pressure-whether you donate, participate, or volunteer, you are keeping this community project alive.
